Just read that Greg Lake has died of cancer aged 69. I know that prog-rock is a much maligned genre, but I don't care. I've always loved the great 70s prog bands who pushed the boundaries of rock. Lake was brilliant with Emerson, Lake, & Palmer and King Crimson (in the early days when they were good).
Here is a great track to remember Lake, a much underated singer, guitarist and bassist.
Lovely use of the sleighbell tune from Prokofiev's Lieutenant Kijé, and I love the total bombast of the ending. (Shame about the poor quality, but I can't find a better version)
R.I.P. Greg.
